Photographs are memories that we enjoy and pass down to the next generation. These days many people have accumulated albums or boxes full of print photographs, or they may have collections of slides. Unfortunately, prints, slides and negatives deteriorate over time. They can fade, get stained or scratched, torn, etc. What is the best way to save them? The answer is to convert analog images to digital files by having them scanned. This way the photos can be preserved for many years to come. Also, digital pictures are easier to copy and distribute than prints, etc.

I can help! As a resident of Fairfax County, Virginia my mission is to provide my community with quality photo scanning and retouching/restoration services at affordable prices. My services are listed below. Please note that I am one person operating out of my home. Realistically, I cannot provide volume services, nor can I offer pristine “lab quality” results. That said, I CAN offer high quality work at competitive prices. And you can be assured that I pay real attention to detail and will provide my clients with the best results that I can.

How long does scanning and/or editing take? Turnaround varies according to job size; and in the case of retouching, by the level of work needed. I limit orders to 25 photos for easy manageability and faster turnarounds. This is also so that I can serve multiple clients in a timely manner. Scanning is a time consuming process. The amount of time needed to edit photos ranges widely; some issues are quickly and easily fixed, while others require much more detailed and meticulous work. All client original materials are returned at the end of a job.

VHS to DVD transfer also available!
